Vegan Pesto

Pesto- an Italian sauce that originated in Genoa and typically contains garlic, basil, pine nuts, olive oil, parmesan cheese and sheep's milk cheese.

Since I am always looking for a tasty way to make things without using dairy I came up with this and it's absolutely delicious!!


Here is what I used:

2 Cups basil leaves

1/4 Cup pine nuts

1/4 Cup olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon

4 cloves of garlic

Dash of sea salt


Here is what I did:

Mixed all the ingredients in the blender until smooth.

Served with my zoodles (spiralized zucchini) !!

It made 7 servings and the serving size is 2 Tablespoons.
